Privacy policy
Your memories stay yours.
Last updated 22 October 2026. Read the short version; the full policy below says the same thing in more detail.
The short version
- We collect what you give us: your email (to sign in), your name, and the photos, videos and stories you add.
- Only people you invite can see a book. Photos are stored privately, not posted anywhere.
- No ads, no selling, no tracking. We don't sell or rent your data, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- We remove location from photos before they're uploaded. Videos are uploaded as they are.
- You can delete anything: a photo, a book, or your whole account, from inside the app. How deleting works.
- Questions? Write to .
The full privacy policy
1. Who we are
LyveLyfe is run by LyveLyfe (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: .
2. What we collect, and why
- Account details: your email address, so you can sign in with a code instead of a password; your display name, so people in your books know who added what; and, only if you choose one, a username so friends can find you.
- What you add: photos, videos, the stories you write, comments, hearts, book designs (titles, covers, page layouts) and your tasks. We store these to show them to you and to the people in the same book.
- Books and people: which books you are in, your role (host, contributor or viewer), and invitations you send or receive.
- Basic technical data: like any online service, our hosting provider records technical logs (such as IP address, time and the request made) to keep the service secure and working. These are kept for a short time.
Before a photo is uploaded, the app re-saves it, which removes hidden details such as the location where it was taken. Videos are uploaded as they are and may still contain such details.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- The app has no advertising, no advertising ID, and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't read your contacts, your location, or your photo library. The app only sees the photos you pick.
- We don't use your photos or stories to train AI models.
4. Who can see your things
- People in the same book see its photos, videos, stories, comments and members' display names. Your email address is never shown to them.
- The host of a book can remove photos, comments and people from it.
- People searching by name can find you only if you chose a username and left “Let people find me” on. Search shows your name and username, never your email.
- Share links only open for people who are already members and signed in.
5. Services we use
We use a small number of providers who process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase: our database, private file storage and sign-in service.
- Email delivery: to send your sign-in codes.
- Expo: to build and deliver the app and its updates.
- Apple and Google: the app stores you download LyveLyfe from, under their own privacy policies.
Your data may be stored and processed in a country other than yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete a photo, a book or your account, it is removed from our live systems straight away and the files are cleaned up shortly after. Backup copies are overwritten within 30 days. We may keep the minimum needed to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
7. Deleting your account
In the app: You → Delete account. This removes your account, the photos, videos, stories and comments you added (including in other people's books), your tasks, and the books you host together with everything in them. If you no longer have the app, see Delete your account.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. You can edit your name and delete your content in the app at any time. For anything else, write to and we'll reply within 30 days.
Our legal basis for processing is providing the service you asked for (our contract with you) and, for security logs, our legitimate interest in keeping LyveLyfe safe.
9. Keeping it safe
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Photos and videos are kept in private storage; the server checks who is allowed to see each one, and links to them expire after 30 minutes. Your sign-in session is kept in your phone's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect yours.
10. Children
LyveLyfe is not meant for children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live (16 in some countries). We don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has an account, tell us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
